Report from the ONC - Health IT in Long-Term and Post Acute Care

The ONC released a new issue brief this past Friday. This brief highlights promising ways in which long-term post-acute care providers are using health IT and information exchange to support care coordination, remote monitoring and quality improvement. It also gives a comprehensive overview of health IT-enabled care transformation opportunities for LTPAC providers under the Affordable Care Act. Finally it offers some practical suggestions and resources for providers as they consider opportunities and adopt health IT and exchange information to improve care delivery and population health while reducing costs. This brief is an excellent source of the most current information and thinking about the transformation that is taking place in the industry. You can access the report here: http://www.healthit.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/HIT_LTPAC_IssueBrief031513.pdf

This is really cool. My grandma definitely needs senior housing in Seattle. It's cool to see what they can come up with.

I'm glad people in the government have begun to care about things like senior independent living, especially in Bellevue NE. It's about time, I'd say.
